If you are contending, you should prioritize the assets on rebuilding teams; it will help if they are aging like Travis Kelce. Draft capital and younger players will be your ammunition in a trade.
TE to Target - Travis Kelce, Kansas City – TE8
A perceived aging tight end is a fitting opportunity for contending dynasty teams. Kelce will be turning 35 years old during this season. Your league mates may want to pivot off Kelce as they fear the inevitable retirement on the horizon. He has nine straight seasons with over 100 targets and 70 receptions. What matters most in a dynasty is winning, and Kelce will increase your contending chances.
Here are recent trades taken from MyFantasyLeague’s open API system:
- Kelce for Quentin Johnston and 2.10 rookie selection
- Kelce for Jayden Reed
- Kelce for two 2025 second-round selections
TE to Target - Evan Engram, Jacksonville – TE10
Jacksonville added two wide receivers in the 2024 offseason to compliment Christian Kirk following Calvin Ridley’s departure. There may be a buy window for Engram as a result, paired with the fact he will be turning 30 in September. In his two seasons with Jacksonville, Engram has totaled 241 targets and 187 receptions. He has a secure role in their offense that will benefit your contending chances.
Below are recent trades:
- Engram for Michael Mayer and 2025 second-round selection
- Engram for Jalin Hyatt and 2.07 rookie selection
- Engram for Adonai Mitchell

TE to Target = George Kittle, San Francisco – TE 11
San Francisco utilizes a friendly system that benefits all of its playmakers. Kittle had a TE1 weekly finish in 56% of games last season, averaging 19 points per game. For reference, Kelce had a weekly TE1 finish in 59% of games. Kittle has three straight seasons of over 85 targets and 60 receptions. You may not know exactly when to play Kittle, but when he hits, he can win you weeks.
Below are recent trades:
- Kittle for Greg Dulcich and the 3.02 and 3.04 rookie selections
- Kittle for 2025 second-round selection and 2026 fourth-round selection
- Kittle for Brian Thomas
TE to Target - Taysom Hill, New Orleans – TE41
If you are not looking to pay a substantial price, Hill may be the asset you are looking for. Last season, he was a weekly TE1 in 38% of games and scored over 10 points in 44%. Coach Dennis Allen said Hill will be lined up in-line or out wide, in the backfield, and under center. There have been no recent trades with Hill being a direct swap; only Hill involved in packages. I would imagine a third-round rookie selection would get the deal done. There is minimal risk to acquire Hill, but the reward could be substantial if his usage increases. Hill has finished as a TE1 in back-to-back seasons.
