The Guru's Notepad IDP Info, Notes from Week 13

As I watch games from Thursday through Monday Night Football, I take notes on the things that catch my eye. From injuries to unexpected box score production both good and bad, to scheme quirks and situations that could affect a player's production in weeks to come. By Wednesday evening I turn these notes and the subsequent news and investigation into the Eyes of the Guru column.

On Monday mornings, I will be sharing those raw notes. There will not be a lot of analysis or in-depth description. Those things take time and will come later in the week. The goal is to give our customers an early heads up on things that could impact your important decisions for the week, so if something in the notes is particularly important to your team, you can look into it on your own and/or wait until the EOTG comes out that week to get my take.

These are the notes from Week 13.

Arizona Cardinals

• Nothing of note.

Atlanta Falcons

• A.J. Terrell concussion
• DeMarcco Hellams 3-1, Richie Grant 1-1-1 FF, roles?

Baltimore Ravens

• Bye week.

Buffalo Bills

• Bye week.

Carolina Panthers

• Jaycee Horn is back
• Brian Burns ejected

Chicago Bears

• Bye week.

Cincinnati Bengals

• Monday Night Football.

Cleveland Browns

• No Cleveland linebacker scored more than 5 fantasy points.

Dallas Cowboys

• Damone Clark 2-2, Markquese Bell 4-4. Cowboys are in play for Shaquille Leonard

Denver Broncos

• Patrick Surtain II missed some time with a knee but returned before the half
• P.J. Locke 6-2-1 making a lot of impact on the field. Kareem Jackson may not get his job back after this suspension
• Baron Browning 1-1-.5, not making as big of an impact on the stat sheet as he is on the field. The numbers will come.

Detroit Lions

• Derrick Barnes 3-6, Jack Campbell 4-5, Malcolm Rodriguez 1-3 snap counts?
• Romeo Okwara 1-1-1 and Bruce Irvin 1-0-1 account for the team's sacks

Green Bay Packers

• Darnell Savage and Rudy Ford returned but Jonathan Owens (5-0) got the start at strong safety.
• De'Vondre Campbell 1-3. Quay Walker 4-9

Houston Texans

• Will Anderson Jr. has a breakout day 3-2-2 PD
• Derek Stingley Jr 4 picks in three games back from injury
• Signs of life from Jalen Pitre 6-0
• No productive linebackers despite the stellar matchup. Blake Cashman 1-4, Christian Harris 4-2, Denzel Perryman 2-3, Henry T. 0-1 snap counts.

Indianapolis Colts

• Tennessee was not a bad matchup for Colts defenders. E.J. Speed 6-2, Julian Blackmon 6-1 FR, Kenny Moore II 6-1, Jaylon Jones 6-1 PD.
• It was even better for the pass rushers, Samson Ebukam 5-1-2 FF, Kwity Paye 4-2-2 2FF, DeForest Buckner 3-3-.5 PD
• Everyone put up points except Zaire Franklin who went 1-5. Then his backup, Segun Olubi showed up at 2-1. Anything to see here?

Jacksonville Jaguars

• Monday Night Football.

Kansas City Chiefs

• Nick Bolton activated and practicing. Drue Tranquill concussion. Jack Cochrane 7-0
• Justin Reid limped off early in the second quarter. Returned to finish 9-1. Bryan Cook 6-1 before leaving with an ankle injury.

Las Vegas Raiders

• Bye week.

Los Angeles Chargers

• Khalil Mack is on fire
• Alohi Gilman took the week off?

Los Angeles Rams

• John Johnson III 1-5 int, safety snaps
• Michael Hoecht active and played but was shut out
• Kobie Turner adds another sack and a half, giving him 4.5 over the last four games.

Miami Dolphins

• Jerome Baker friendly fire knee injury. Duke Riley replaced him 3-5 FF. David Long 5-3 snap counts?
• Andrew Van Ginkel came through big 4-1 int/TD 2PD
• Jevon Holland DNP. Brandon Jones 4-1

Minnesota Vikings

• Bye week.

New England Patriots

• No Patriots defender reached double-digit points.

New Orleans Saints

• Zack Baun 1-1-1 but Nephi Sewell 5-3 2TFL, started for Pete Werner
• Paulson Adebo 6-2 PD, led the team in tackles.

New York Giants

• Bye week.

New York Jets

• Surprisingly poor production from linebackers. C.J. Mosley 1-4, Quincy Williams 4-4.
• Jermaine Johnson 2-2-1.5
• D.J. Reed went 2-0 with a pair of pass breakups, but that is about what we expected with the matchup.

Philadelphia Eagles

• Nicholas Morrow 5-3, led the team in tackles. Christian Ellis 4-2

Pittsburgh Steelers

• Elandon Roberts groin. Mykal Walker is next #1? Mark Robinson came off the bench, but we could see either Myles Jack or Blake Martinez in week 14
• Minkah Fitzpatrick didn't do much in his return
• T.J. Watt sore ankle? Was not on the field late in the game.

Seattle Seahawks

• Jordyn Brooks might be done for the regular season ankle. Devin Bush 2-0 snap counts

San Francisco 49ers

• Dre Greenlaw 2-5 ejected. Fred Warner 3-1. Philadelphia running backs carried 9 times
• Javon Kinlaw 2-2-2

Tampa Bay Buccaneers

• Lavonte David, Devin White, and SirVocea Dennis were all inactive. K.J. Britt was hurt in the first quarter (back). J.J. Russell 6-1-1, and Ryan Neal 4-0 at LB?
• Christian Izien full-time at SS? 5-0 FF
• Yaya Diaby with another strong game 3-3-1

Tennessee Titans

• Jack Gibbens with a big day 9-4 PD. Monty Rice not so much 1-1. Snaps?
• Jeffery Simmons left with a knee injury
• K'Von Wallace 1-1 but only 2 safeties showed up on the stat sheet

Washington Commanders

• Check safety snaps. Jartavius Martin 5-2, Kamren Curl 4-0, Percy Butler 3-2, Terrell Burgess 2-1
• Benjamin St-Juste does next to nothing with a great matchup.
