Staffers in a Good Mood

• Phil Alexander: Carson Wentz's late-season meltdown overshadowed his otherwise (mostly) solid play in 2022. He is an upgrade over Tyler Heinicke.
• Ryan Weisse: Wentz is an upgrade at quarterback, and now McLaurin is ready to play after his new contract
• Chad Parsons: Wentz raises the tide of the passing game. If Dotson or Samuel provides anything this year, that's a huge upgrade at WR2+.

Staffers in a Neutral Mood

• Jason Wood: The 23rd-ranked offense last year returns the same coaches and system, and most of the same skill players. But Wentz is probably an upgrade.
• Dave Kluge: As much as fans want to believe Wentz is an upgrade from Heinicke, the change is marginal.
• Andy Hicks: The quarterback situation is still an uncertainty, but stability elsewhere should bear fruit.
• Sam Wagman: Carson Wentz is an upgrade over Taylor Heinicke, but by how much at this point?
• Dan Hindery: I don't trust Carson Wentz, but they are putting some other solid pieces in place.
• Craig Lakins: I'm not excited about Wentz, but there's plenty to like at WR and RB.
• Jonathan Morris: A slight upgrade at all skill positions this offseason, but I question the ability of their offensive line compared to previous seasons.

Staffers in a Bad Mood

• Jordan McNamara: When Carson Wentz is your answer at quarterback, you are not heading in the right direction as a franchise.
• Jeff Bell: Carson Wentz fell apart in the second half of 2021 and took Michael Pittman with him.
• Ben Cummins: Carson Wentz joins an offense that ranked 21st in DVOA last season. This will be one of the worst offenses in football in 2022.
• Zareh Kantzabedian: Carson Wentz has regressed into a high-end backup quarterback who limits the upside of any offense he commands.
• Kevin Coleman: It’s hard to buy into any offense led by Carson Wentz.
