Tennessee, Team Mood

- Neutral - 8
- Bad - 5
Staffers in a Good Mood
- None.
Staffers in a Neutral Mood
- Chad Parsons: Solid quarterback and Derrick Henry returning as the centerpiece of the offense.
- Andy Hicks: A team with more than 10 wins in consecutive seasons should not be dismissed.
- Jeff Haseley: As long as Tennessee has Derrick Henry, they will be competitive. Mike Vrabel seems to know how to pull a rabbit out of a hat.
- Kevin Coleman: As long as Derrick Henry remains healthy, this offense will finish in the top half of the NFL.
- Jeff Bell: It is all on Derrick Henry, but even in a disastrous 2021, Ryan Tannehill still finished as QB15 in points per game.
- Ben Cummins: The Titans lack playmakers on offense but have a reliable veteran quarterback in Ryan Tannehill to steady the ship.
- Christian Williams: The receiver room is a net positive with the additions of Robert Woods and Treylon Burks, but everything rides on Derrick Henry's availability.
- Will Grant: We've dismissed the Titans in previous seasons only to see them defy the odds and exceed expectations.
Staffers in a Bad Mood
- Jason Wood: One of the better teams in recent years now faces uncertainty at key positions, from quarterback to the play-caller to Derrick Henry's age and workload finally taking a toll.
- Sam Wagman: When your entire season rests on whether your 28-year-old running back returns healthy from a major foot injury, it’s probably not that great.
- Ryan Weisse: I like the weapons and coaching staff but do not trust Ryan Tannehill. Last year looked like regression, and I'm not sure we can expect better in 2022.
- Jordan McNamara: I suspect 2023 looks more like a rebuild than it looks like the 2022 roster.
- Nick Whalen: The offensive line and quarterback play have been getting worse, which makes it difficult to have confidence in other parts of this offense.
Players We're In On at Cost
- Robert Woods - 6
- Austin Hooper - 5
- Ryan Tannehill - 1
- Treylon Burks and Robert Woods - 1
Reasons to be In on Robert Woods
- Jason Wood: He's the clear-cut alpha receiver in a team with a ton of vacated targets.
- Chad Parsons: A cheap veteran shot at a team's WR1 with a productive profile. Austin Hooper is also a nice upside shot from deep in the tight end position.
- Sam Wagman: Woods has put up four straight seasons of WR2-level production if you account for his usage pre-ACL tear. He should be the WR1 here, assuming his rehab continues to go well.
- Jeff Haseley: Week 1 is 10 months from surgery. As long as he doesn't have a setback, he should be good to go as the team's leading target.
- Kevin Coleman: Based on his ADP, Woods is the best value for a player who should be the team’s number one option.
- Christian Williams: Infatuation with the first-round rookie has created a value play in Woods.
Reasons to be In on Austin Hooper
- Ryan Weisse: With so many questions at every receiving position, the cheapest starter is usually the best option. A great late-round flyer for the streaming crowd.
- Jeff Bell: This offense has historically featured heavy tight end usage, and early camp reports have Hooper a favorite target.
- Jordan McNamara: Hooper has a good argument to be in the top 10 of volume at the position in 2023.
- Nick Whalen: He fits the play-action game to give Tannehill a target over the middle of the field and could sneak his way into TE1 territory.
- Will Grant: If you miss the top-tier tight ends, Hooper will have a few solid games this season.
Reasons to be In on Ryan Tannehill
- Andy Hicks: When you can get seven rushing touchdowns, even anemic passing numbers will get you to borderline fantasy starter status.
Reasons to be In on Treylon Burks and Robert Woods
- Ben Cummins: Both are worth taking some shots on around the ninth round of drafts.
Players We're Out On at Cost
- Treylon Burks - 5
- Derrick Henry - 3
- Ryan Tannehill - 2
- Austin Hooper - 2
- Hassan Haskins - 1
Reasons to be Out on Treylon Burks
- Jason Wood: Burks is not Deebo Samuel and could well be a colossal bust. Either way, don't bet on him in redrafts.
- Andy Hicks: When a team trades away a superstar wide receiver to get you and you turn up out of shape, odds are you may not see much playing time.
- Jeff Haseley: Nothing against Burks, but I believe it will take him at least a few weeks before he is acclimated. Give me Woods at around the same ADP.
- Kevin Coleman: Burks will need time to learn the system and get himself into shape. He’s not a player you can count on early in the season.
- Nick Whalen: He's a raw WR prospect that needs time to learn technique and the NFL game. He'll disappoint in his rookie season.
Reasons to be Out on Derrick Henry
- Jordan McNamara: Henry's 2021 volume overshadowed a major decline in efficiency, which gives me pause in 2022.
- Christian Williams: After the volume caught up to him, leading to injury in 2021. A reduced workload would be wise if the Titans want to push for the postseason again.
- Will Grant: Henry has real first-round-bust potential this season. Someone in your league will take him in the Top 10 and be very sorry.
Reasons to be Out on Ryan Tannehill
- Chad Parsons: Not bullish on his upside, even from the QB20-25 range of cost. Rather Carson Wentz and Jameis Winston in a similar range.
- Ryan Weisse: Everyone here feels appropriately priced, but it would take a lot of misfortune for Tannehill to end up on any team of mine, even Superflex.
Reasons to be Out on Austin Hooper
- Sam Wagman: The Browns seemingly forgot how to use Austin Hooper, but with the Titans not using tight ends since Delanie Walker, will Hooper produce in Tennessee?
- Ben Cummins: Hooper doesn’t move the needle for me. There are many other tight ends I prefer over him.
Reasons to be Out on Hassan Haskins
- Jeff Bell: A trendy late-round injury bench flier to support Henry, rookie reports had Julius Chestnut topping him.
