IDL and Edge Streaming Matchups, Week 13

Joseph Haggan's IDL and Edge Streaming Matchups, Week 13 Joseph Haggan Published 11/30/2022

The streaming choices were tough for Week 12. All but one choice we went with was an absolute bust. Chase Young was activated, so the excitement to launch him into your lineup overwhelmed me. unfortunately, he was scratched from the lineup as the Commanders are taking precautions with their young star. Carl Lawson had a mouth-watering matchup against the Bears, though failed to reach any relevance coming up with just two assisted tackles. The Edge sleeper was Rashad Weaver. He was ok and played 49% of the team's snaps. He had just three total tackles.

DreMont Jones was the streaming IDL option. He had a terrific game with seven total tackles. The IDL sleeper option was Zachary Carter. His playing time dropped to just 39% of the team's snaps, with D.J. Reader seeing more playing time. Here are the top IDL and Edge streaming options for Week 13.

Week13 IDL and Edge Streaming Options

Edge Kingsley Enagbare, Green Bay Packers

Matchup: Chicago Bears - Ranked 26th in Matt Bitonti's Rankings

Kingsley Enagbare had a slow start to his rookie campaign, firmly stuck behind veterans Preston Smith and Rashaan Gary. Gary tore his ACL in their Week 9 game against the Lions. Enagbare has been the main benefactor. Enagbare has earned a 65.33% snap share since Gary's injury. During that span, he has averaged 4.33 tackles per game and has provided 13 pressures. While scouting Enagbare during the offseason, I was most impressed with his explosion and athleticism. Watch how easily he baits and beats the offensive lineman here.

Not only has Enagbare been a great pass-rusher, but his run defense has been solid too. He has earned a 66.5 run defense grade and a 71.0 tackle grade per PFF. This will be most beneficial against a high-volume Beats rushing attack. It should provide Enagbare with an ample tackle floor. Add the fact that the Bears have allowed the 2nd most sacks on the season (42), and it looks like a recipe for success for Enagbare.

Edge Tyus Bowser, Baltimore Ravens

Matchup: Denver Broncos - Ranked 23rd in Matt Bitonti's Rankings

Tyus Bowser suffered a torn Achilles in the 2021 season finale. He returned to the lineup three games ago and jumped right back into his old role. Bowser has amassed a 66.33% snap share, providing five pressures and a sack so far on the season. He seemed to dust the rust off last week, racking up three tackles, one for a loss, a sack, and a forced fumble. Bowser is relentless in his pass rush. Watch here as he does not give up on the play and comes up from behind for the strip sack.

Bowser gets to take on the disheveled Broncos in Week 13. The Broncos are in disarray and have allowed the 4th most sacks on the season with 36. All I can say about Bowser is, "let's ride."

IDL Dexter Lawrence, New York Giants

Matchup: Washington Commanders - Ranked 15th in Matt Bitonti's Rankings

Dexter Lawrence is breaking out for the Giants in a big way. He has already broken his career high in sacks with five so far in the season. Plus, he is only four pressures shy of his career high and only nine tackles short of his career high, with five games to play. Watch this beautiful grip and rip move he had against the Lions.

Lawrence had 13 pressures from the interior over his last three games. He takes on the Commanders, who are an ideal matchup for an IDL. They have the 4th most rushing attempts in the NFL (365), while also having allowed the 8th most sacks on the season with 32. Lawrence goes into the week with a strong tackle floor with pass-rushing upside.

IDL Ed Oliver, Buffalo Bills

Matchup: New England Patriots - RAnked 19th in Matt Bitonti's Rankings

Ed Oliver has been an animal recently. He has had 15 pressures over his past three games. Oliver posted 13 tackles, three for a loss, and 1.5 sacks as well during that span while playing on 72% of the team's snaps. Oliver is pure power. Watch this bull-rush sack on Thanksgiving.

Oliver has really picked up the pass-rushing slack since the Bills have been without Edge defender Gregory Rousseau. The Bills take on the Patriots on Thursday. They have allowed Mac Jones to be sacked 19 times over the past four games. Oliver should continue his aggressive play.

Week 13 IDL and Edge Sleeper Options

Edge Sam Williams, Dallas Cowboys

Matchup: Indianapolis Colts - Ranked 9th in Matt Bitotni's Rankings

Sam Williams was one of my favorite rookie Edge defenders to scout last season. He's explosive with great technique. He's been playing well recently. Over the past four games, he has seen a 34.75% snap share. During that span, he has converted eight tackles, five for a loss, and three sacks. He has earned a 75.1 pass-rush grade and a 79.7 tackle grade on the season per PFF. Those are fantastic for a rookie. Watch him explode into the backfield here for the tackle for a loss.

The Cowboys take on the Colts in Week 13. They will need Williams to aid in setting the edge against stud running back Jonathan Taylor. What they need most from him, though, is to attack one of the league's worst pass-blocking teams. The Colts have allowed 43 sacks in 2022, the most in the NFL. Even with a smaller-than-normal snap share, Williams could still have a big day.

IDL Alim McNeil, Detroit Lions

Matchup: Jacksonville Jaguars - Ranked 22nd in Matt Bitonti's Rankings

Alim McNeil is having a strong sophomore campaign in the NFL, especially recently. Over the past two weeks, McNeill has created 12 pressures, adding eight tackles, three for a loss, and a sack during that span. He sees plenty of volume. McNeil has played 72.36% of the team's defensive snaps so far in 2022. McNeil is powerful and does a great job shedding blocks, which you can see here.

The Lions play the Jaguars in Week 13, which does not scream as a great streaming matchup. It is McNeil's recent play that makes him a streaming sleeper option.

Final Thoughts

All of the streaming options should have strong weeks. I have full confidence in them succeeding in their matchups. Week 13 is a big week, likely the second to last game before playoffs. Hopefully, this can help you win your matchup and make your push toward fantasy gold. Thank you again for reading and good luck.
