Dynasty fantasy football rookies drafts are in full swing between now and a few weeks after the NFL Draft.
Of course, you can check our Rookie Rankings to see which rookies are expected to do well. But average draft position (ADP) is important too. That way, you don't just know who is expected to do well but also find out each player's value in the overall market.
Luckily, our Joey Wright has started running rookie mock drafts. They run every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. They started with just a single round but will eventually move to four-round affairs. If you'd like to get involved with these, he does them in three different places: our Discord, our message board, and on X.
We've looked at the results and created exclusive ADP for you. It is below.
2025 Dynasty Superflex Rookie ADP
Our last two mocks went two rounds, while the previous three only went one. Since combining drafts of different lengths makes listing High and Low pick data awkward, we'll just show the results of all five mocks.
If a cell is blank, the player wasn't selected in that mock draft.
New York Jets QB Aaron Rodgers recently met with the Jets front office and has been informed that they will not be bringing him back next season.
Our view: This should be no surprise after Rodgers appeared to be a quarterback in decline in 2024, not to mention one that has a tendency to create off-field distractions. Tyrod Taylor is under contract at a very reasonable $6 million next season and the Jets could move up from #7 to take one of the top two quarterback prospects, but ownership has also seemed impatient about winning. Unfortunately, outside of maybe a healthier Kirk Cousins or unlikely reunion with Sam Darnold, a significant upgrade from Taylor is probably not out there to be had in the free agent market.
The San Francisco 49ers are expected to explore trading WR Deebo Samuel this offseason, according to multiple sources. While it is not certain that Samuel will play somewhere else next season, both sides appear to be at peace if they go their separate ways.
Our view: Samuel is only due $1.17 million in salary next year as the 49ers restructured his contract in 2024. He doesn't play a traditional wide receiver role, but Samuel is only 29 and at that price, there should be multiple teams interested. Brandon Aiyuk will be coming back from an ACL tear and Jauan Jennings showed that he can be a #1 receiver for Brock Purdy last year, so the passing game would be in good shape even if Samuel is traded. The team reportedly had both Samuel and Aiyuk on the block last year before signing Aiyuk to a new contract, so this item isn't a surprise.
New York Jets WR Davante Adams may be a cut candidate this offseason because of his salary cap number, and the team's decision not to bring QB Aaron Rodgers back, according to sources.
Our view: Adams has an unworkable $35.6 million salary next season, so he's not returning to the Jets without that number getting at least cut in half, if not more. It looks like the Jets gave the Raiders a third round pick for nothing. Garrett Wilson should stay with the team now that they are confirmed to be moving on from Aaron Rodgers, and he'll be in line for as many targets as he can handle, albeit from Tyrod Taylor or a yet-to-be-acquired quarterback. The Rams, Chargers, and 49ers are all possibilities for Adams if he is released after he said he is intrigued by a move back to the west coast.
Minnesota Vikings QB J.J. McCarthy (knee) is slated to begin football drills in the next few weeks and is likely to be ready when organized team activities get underway in May.
Our view: We are likely to see McCarthy as the starting quarterback for the Vikings as long as he is medically able to be out there. His dynasty value should start to rise this offseason, with a likely spike coming on March 5 when the Vikings are almost certain to choose to not tag Sam Darnold in an attempt to trade him before he hits free agency.
Pittsburgh Steelers impending free-agent QB Justin Fields is expected to receive interest from several teams if he hits the free-agent market. The Steelers are still open to re-signing Fields.
Our view: The Steelers are expected to bring back one of Fields or Russell Wilson to start in 2025. Fields has a little more upside if the team builds more plays into the offense to leverage his speed as a runner, and they may be one of the few teams to bring him in as the starter. Fields fantasy value for 2025 is still very much alive.
Among the biggest movers this week: Lamar Jackson surged 6 spots, Jayden Daniels climbed 4, and Bo Nix jumped 8. But which of these rising QBs most deserves the boost?
So today, we ask you Footballguys:
🗳️ POLL: Which rising QB most deserves their recent NFFC ADP surge?
When you vote in the Poll below, you'll see the current standings, and we'll post the final results in the next edition of the Daily Update.
🗳️ POLL: Looking forward to next season, who will win Super Bowl LX on Sunday, Feb 8, 2026?
Minnesota Vikings impending free-agent QB Sam Darnold could be a target for the Las Vegas Raiders during free agency, in the opinion of ESPN's Adam Schefter.
Our view: Many of the teams that will be looking at the top two draft quarterbacks will also be looking at Darnold, so we should get a slight narrowing of the field of possible teams for Colorado's Shadeur Sanders or Miami's Cam Ward. Darnold landing with new Raiders offensive coordinator Chip Kelly would be a bit of a wild card as Kelly's offensive approach has changed a lot since he was with the Eagles as a head coach and then went back to the college level.
New York Giants QB Tommy DeVito is the only quarterback on the team's current roster who is under contract for the 2025 season, according to NFL Network's Mike Garafolo. The team is expected to be active in the free-agent market for quarterbacks and are also considering selecting a QB with the third overall pick in the NFL Draft.
Our view: Jameis Winston and Sam Darnold are two possibilities for the Giants, who are selecting #3 and could have a chance to take of the top two quarterbacks on the board. If they sign Winston or Darnold in free agency, it could be a sign that they aren't going to take Colorado's Shadeur Sanders or Miami's Cam Ward with the #3 pick (or attempt to move up to #1 or #2 to take one of them).
Chicago Bears impending free-agent WR Keenan Allen probably will not return to the Bears unless he is opening to signing a one-year contract with a team-friendly salary, in the opinion of BearsWire's Alyssa Barbieri.
Our view: Visions of Allen in the Amon-Ra St. Brown role in Ben Johnson's offense should be dashed by this item, if it wasn't already obvious that Allen wasn't likely to return. DJ Moore is also well-suited for the role and unlike Allen, he is in his prime. Moore could blow away his early 4th/5th round ADP with Allen gone. Rome Odunze is also set to go lower than he did in 2024 fantasy drafts, which could present major value with Allen gone.
The Arizona Cardinals are interested in signing TE Trey McBride to a contract extension this offseason, according to ESPN.com's Jeremy Fowler.
Our view: McBride has become the engine of the passing game and he has much better chemistry with Kyler Murray than 2024 #4 overall pick Marvin Harrison Jr. Extending key players before they get to free agency is almost usually the smart move in hindsight, so the Cardinals would be wise to be willing to give a little at the margin to save money on McBride's second contract long term by getting it done early.
Chicago Bears impending free-agent OG Teven Jenkins likely will be allowed to test free agency since neither side seems very interested in a contract extension.
Our view: Jenkins has been a starter at guard for the Bears, but the offensive line was a weak link for the team so it's not surprising that the team doesn't want to keep the band together. New head coach Ben Johnson had the luxury of one of the best lines in the league in Detroit and will surely prioritize the line in offseason acquisitions via free agency and the draft.
Carolina Panthers WR Adam Thielen is expected to return to the Panthers next season and could be a candidate for a contract extension this offseason, according to ESPN.com's Jeremy Fowler.
Our view: It was considered a possibility that Thielen would retire after the season, but he dispelled that in a Super Bowl week radio interview. He was fantasy relevant with a revived Bryce Young down the stretch and is on the books for an affordable $6 million. The Panthers could get that number down with an extension, but don't have to because they are not in a bad cap situation.
Los Angeles Rams QB Matthew Stafford appears likely to return to the Rams next season, sources told ESPN.com's Dan Graziano.
Our view: More than one fanbase is dreaming of the possibility of Stafford playing for their team next season, but the staying with the Rams is probably the best option for both parties. The team will likely need to adjust his contract, but he's happy with the direction the offense is headed even though the team is likely to move on from Cooper Kupp in the offseason.
