Since Dowdle left South Carolina, I've been noting how the Cowboys hung onto the perennially injured runner for four years because they saw the talent. Dowdle proved them right with a 1,100-yard campaign while working with injured offensive talent.
Dowdle will team with Hubbard in Carolina and should earn enough touches to deliver RB3/Flex value because of his vision, creativity, and receiving skills.

He turned 274 touches into 1,328 total yards and 5 touchdowns last season. He can definitely play. The problem is he's now the clear backup to Chuba Hubbard after the Cowboys let him walk. Thus, he falls into handcuff territory in the rankings.
