Until the signing of J.K. Dobbins, Harvey looked like a rookie who might contribute immediately. Training camp reports will be vital as there are a few talented backs on the roster.

The game-breaking play ability is real, particularly as a receiver, but J.K. Dobbins wasn't signed to sit on the bench.

JK Dobbins’ arrival dims Harvey’s three-down outlook, but his elite traits and 9.3% college target share still dovetail with Sean Payton’s scheme. He’s the Denver back to draft, with sky-high upside in the likely event Dobbins gets hurt.

Sean Payton talks about his players as archetypes for his offense, and those archetypes are rooted in former players from his years in New Orleans. Last year, Blake Watson's style was compared to Alvin Kamara. This year, it's Harvey, but the significant differences are draft capital and Harvey's athletic explosion.

Due to that capital, Harvey will get an early shot to be the passing-down back and change of pace option. The signing of J.K. Dobbins is a great indicator that Harvey is seen more as a Darren Sproles-Reggie Bush complement than the Mark Ingram or prime Alvin Kamara option.

Hand-picked by Sean Payton to start for a good Broncos team. Extremely athletic and productive in college, which is the combination we're looking for.

Harvey was a sparkplug at UCF last year, but will need to shore up his abilities as a blocker to reach his full potential.

He will compete with JK Dobbins for touches. While he might cede carries, he is likely a better fit for the Denver pass-catching role, which can be very valuable for fantasy.
