Ladd McConkey

McConkey exceeded expections in his rookie season on a team wanting to run the ball often. The Chargers have however improved their depth at receiver and a decline in numbers is more than possible, 

His rookie season was a booming success. Can he do it again? Yes. Especially with uncertainty down the depth chart. Quentin Johnston and rookie Tre Harris are the main threats to his production. 

Breakout WR12 rookie season ended with a legendary 14-9-197-1 playoff line against Houston. Wideouts who start like that don’t usually regress in year two.

I was all-in on Ladd McConkey at this time last year as a potential top-12 fantasy receiver, and he didn't disappoint. McConkey's knowledge of zone defenses and ability to win inside-out as a man-to-man receiver were assets. So was his skill at in-play adjustments to uncover late in plays. 

Look for more of the same from McConkey this year. Greg Roman's offense leads with slot receivers and tight ends in the passing game. The intent is to throw the ball in the middle of the field. 

Expect McConkey to have a similar output as his rookie season.  

Fantastic athlete who ran a 4.39 40-yard dash and posted a 36" vertical and a 10'04" broad jump. He's an incredible route runner who consistently gets open and creates separation. He transitions into yards after catch creation mode and gets up the field extremely quickly. Ranked ninth in Yards per Route Run (2.38) and tenth in receiving yards (1,149) as a rookie.

He's tailor-made for the WR1 role in this run-and-gun offense. The addition of Tre Harris should keep defenses honest, and the run game will be effective. He's efficient and will see enough targets to anchor your wide receivers.
