Blake Corum

Corum didn't have a standout rookie season, but there are enough reasons to believe the doom and gloom associated with him is overwrought. Even if Corum has the skills to become a capable NFL starter, Kyren Williams is poised to earn a second deal in L.A., which renders Corum a career backup, at best, until Wiliams gets hurt, or Corum's rookie deal expires. 

If Corum doesn't earn his chance before his deal expires, he'll be labeled a career backup. There will also be a contingent of Jarquez Hunter fans who believe Hunter is a better prospect because of his speed and contact balance. 

It may work out this way in Sean McVay's zone system because there isn't a massive separation between the two reserves in terms of talent. Corum is more well-rounded and a smarter decision-maker but that could change in a year or two. 

For now, Corum is a strong option as a reserve because of the Rams' OL and his skills. 

Compact 205-pound running back with a low center of gravity. Has nifty feet and good cutback ability to make defenders miss. This showed up in his athletic testing with a 6.82 3-cone and a 4.12 shuttle. Competing for touches with Kyren Williams and Jarquez Hunter.
